Do I need previous experience?

Not for K1 and P2. You don’t even need to have shot film before. For K2 and K3 you should already know the positive process.

What do I need to bring?

The studio provides cameras, chemistry and plates. Bring clothes that can take stains, plus a notebook and a pen. Coffee is provided; feel free to bring something to eat. By arrangement you can also bring your own large-format camera.

What do I take home?

Your own plates and a handout with all recipes and descriptions.

How safe is working with the chemistry?

You learn to handle ether, silver nitrate and fixer step by step, with protective gear and ventilation, and you mix your first photographic solutions yourself. The lab is ventilated, and safety glasses and gloves give extra protection.

What if I have to cancel?

Up to 7 days before the course you get a full refund, after that half. If you cancel less than 48 hours before, no refund is possible.

Testimonials

“Very easy to understand thanks to Max’s great explanations. Easy to follow even without experience. There was enough time to try out several plates.”
