Live tintype portraits at weddings and events
I come to you with my mobile darkroom and develop the plates on site. I'm happy to answer questions along the way; guests can watch the process and then take their portrait home.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a portrait take?
About 10 minutes from posing to the finished plate. The plate is then washed and varnished once dry.
Does it work outdoors too?
Yes, the equipment is mobile and made for outdoors. Nobody can control the weather, though, so please plan a dry indoor alternative for an outdoor session.
What should guests wear?
Whatever they are already wearing. Collodion sees colours a little differently from black-and-white film, though: it renders blue very light and red very dark, and patterns usually work well.
How far in advance should I inquire?
As early as possible, especially for weddings in high season.
